2017/2018 Concert Series on the Cottage Bistro Stage

Karin PlatoThis small invitational concert series will feature Juno nominated vocalist Karin Plato performing with acclaimed jazz, blues and roots musicians. Each of these four concerts will include both vocal and instrumental pieces.

The Cottage Bistro is the perfect place for the audience to experience the artistry and nuance of a wide range of musical styles under the jazz umbrella.

We respectfully request that concert attendees refrain from conversation during these concerts while enjoying some of Eugene's delicious cuisine.

A positive force in the world of music Karen is inspired by strong melody, a good story and some "je ne say quirkiness".

Rene WorstRene Worst is an acclaimed bassist who plays with great virtuosity, soulfulness and deep groove. His musicianship is unparalleled and he is a highly respected performer and recording artist; appearing on numerous recordings. In addition, Rene has produced several recordings for other artists.

Swingin' bebop, tender ballads, jazz standards and originals. Joy inducing and filled with surprises!

Bill CoonBill Coon is one of Canada's great treasures, a master improviser on the guitar. Whether he is playing bebop, folk or pop arrangements, Bill is always awe-inspiring, carefully creating his musical lines freely and inventively.

Adam ThomasAdam Thomas is a Juno nominated bassist, vocalist and guitarist. His unique sound combines elements of soul, jazz, indie and top 40 music. A captivating musician to behold, Adam will be on guitar for these concerts and he'll sing solos and some duets with Karin.

Contrasting guitar styles and inventive arrangements and lots of spontaneity. Fun Fun!
